Scott Kujath
Senior Pastor

After Graduating Bible College in 1988, Scott started off his current 18 years in ministry when he became the youth pastor of a church in Granada Hills, CA. In 1992, he and his family moved to Thousand Oaks, CA, where he was again the youth pastor of a church there. In 1995, partnering with Dan Sneed, Scott and his family planted a church in Thousand Oaks, until his move to Bayfield in August of 2001 to be the senior pastor here at PVC.

In his spare time, Scott loves doing things with his Wife Carrie, and his four boys, Brad, Scotty, Andy, and Zacky. Whether that is playing board games or taking family vacations, they always have a great time together. Outside of family, the majority of Scott’s other hobbies are sports related, such as coaching various sports, or the newest addition, golf.

John Huseman
Youth Pastor

John has been our Youth Pastor since 2004 and is originally from Salina,KS. John graduated from Oral Roberts University with a degree in Pastoral Christian ministries in 2002. He coaches Middle School Football and Basketball and is a sports enthusiast to the core. Graphic Design is another one of his interests along with leading worship.

Golf, Fantasy Football, and taking Sadie (his dog) on walks are a few of John's favorite activities. His greatest love is his wife Lindsay and his daughter Brooklyn, who was born July 12, 2006. Being a great husband and daddy are John's highest priorities, and nothing brings him more joy than spending time with his two girls.

Randy Clark
Associate Pastor

Randy was born in Lamar, CO and raised in Montrose. His college experience led him to Utah and Phoenix before graduating with a bachelor's degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. Randy was an Associate Pastor at The River Church from 2003-2006. Randy and his wife Letty have been married 17 years and have four children (Kennedy, Logan, Cameron, and Samuel). He joined our staff in August 2007 and is such a blessing to our entire community.

Randy enjoys sports of all kinds and being in the outdoors. Hunting has always been one of his passions along with spending as much time as possible with his children. When he's not spending time with his kids, he loves to take Letty to downtown Durango and get a cup of coffee.

Cindy Griffin & Margaret Christiansen
Children's Pastors

Cindy and Margaret have been our Children's Pastors for the last seven years. Before being called into full time ministry, Cindy was a loan processor and Margaret was an office manager at Seeds of Learning family center. Cindy has been married 21 years to her wonderful husband Neal and they have 2 children (Heidi and Jennifer) who are now in their 30s. One of Cindy's greatest joy's is being a grandmother. Margaret has three children (Jesse, Lucas, and Aubrie) and having her kids around and being a mother is what brings her the most joy.

Cindy enjoys reading, shopping, and just spending time at home cooking and being a homemaker. When not at home, Margaret enjoys eating hot wings at Cuckoos. These 2 ladies are basically inseperable and a huge reason why our children's department is such a success.

Eleanor Kujath
Pastoral Care

Eleanor's great love is making the Bible come alive to people and helping them understand how it affects everday living. That's what ministy is all about; showing people how much Jesus loves them. She feels that this love can be shown by calling to check up on someone she hasn't seen in a while, visiting those who are sick or in the hospital, or just scheduling lunch to get to know someone better. It all says that people are important.

Eleanor and her husband Bob founded Pine Valley Church ten years ago, and Eleanor has been in the ministry for forty-five years. She has five (grown) children: Janelle Ellis, Kathy Sather, Becky Stadolnik, Scott Kujath, and Rob Kujath. And if that's not enough, she also has fourteen granchildren. Investing into her grandchildren's lives is one of Eleanor's hobbies, as well as reading and tending animals.

Terry & Lisa Prothero
Media & Music Directors

Terry and Lisa Prothero are all about quality! After developing his own Concert Sound Company as well as working with several bands and missions groups such as YWAM, Terry is now working at PVC making sure our audio and video are at peak performance. God has grown a strong love for the body of Christ in Terry’s heart, and a passion to impact people through media. Lisa is the Music director here at PVC, and she loves seeing God use music to bring people together and worship him.

Terry and Lisa have been married for 26 years, and have 10 children: Aaron, Cory, Loren, Jamie, Kevin, John, Timothy, Matthew, Laura, and Benjamin. In her spare time Lisa enjoys Cooking, sewing, and writing music, and Terry enjoys camping, road trips, and listening to “Quality” music in his studio.

Connie Cusenza
Office Staff

Serving is what Connie is all about. She loves to serve God by serving His Church. As well as being the church Secretary, her job also includes networking people and information. If she can ever assist someone to connect or gather information, she gladly volunteers. Although she has only been paid staff here at PVC for three years, she has always been volunteering in some manner ever since her salvation 19 years ago.

Connie is married to her Husband Joey, and they have two children: Crystal who is twenty three years old, and Joey Jr. who is twenty years old. In her free time, Connie loves to cook, spend time with family and friends, and reading (especially on a rainy or snowy day).

Elaine Powell
Kitchen Ministry

Elaine grew up in Brunswick, GA and still talks like a true southerner. Elaine and her husband Bill have two children (Sean and Tessa) and have lived in the Bayfield area for the last five years. Elaine was a Physical Therapist before joining our staff and she has a real passion for serving and connecting with people. Elaine a strong gifting in making people feel at home and welcome and the kitchen is a perfect place to do that. She oversees all of our kitchen ministry and on a typical Wednesday over 350 meals are served. She leads a team of volunteers that have over 15 people working in the kitchen.

As you can imagine some of her greatest loves are cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She loves to travel to warm places as "cold weather" has never been one of Elaine's friends.

Shannon Nudera
Associate Youth Pastor

Shannon is originally from Chicago, IL and graduated from Oral Roberts Univeristy with a degree in elementary education. She taught 4th grade in Colorado Springs, CO at Monterey Elementary and was an active volunteer at The Grace Place Foursquare Church. Shannon has been heavily involved with Foursquare camps doing everything from leading group activities to playing on the worship team. In August 2007, Shannon decided to come on staff here at the church, and has been a vital asset ever since.

Worship is one of Shannon's passions along with working out and spending time with students. She is an avid sports fan with a deep love for all Chicago sports' teams. When she's not involved with some activity with kids, she is normally curled up on a couch reading a book.
